POSTCARD AUCTION RULES FOR BIDDERS (Conditions of Sales) of the NZPS Inc.

The highest bidder is the purchaser with the highest bid equal to or greater than the reserve, and 10% above the next highest bidder on the same lot. If there is only one bid, the sale will be at the reserve figure plus commission (see clause 5). If two or more of the highest bids are received for identical amounts on any lot, the first bid received will be the successful bidder.

Any lot not matching the description may be returned within seven days of receipt of invoice, (collection and bulk lots excluded) to the salesperson.

NO BUY NOW BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

“Reserve” means just that. Lower bids are not accepted.

Successful bidders will receive an invoice after the auction. This will include the addition of a 15% commission charge per lot.

Delivery will only be made to bidders upon receipt of payment.

Postage and packing shall be at the purchaser’s expense. PLEASE NOTE: cards are sent at buyer’s risk. Please request ‘registered return’ if you have concerns about the reliability of the mail service. Registration is not available for material sent to a PO Box, but Courier Post will provide this service.

BIDS RECEIVED AFTER CLOSING DATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

All bids must be in NZ dollars. Bidders are encouraged to use the Society’s supplied bid sheet and bids may be sent by mail or by email. Emailed bids will be acknowledged – please ensure you receive an acknowledgement, as this is the check your communication has been received.

The Society reserves the right to withdraw any lot without explanation or notification.

Once the final highest bid has been determined, and the Society is in receipt of the purchaser’s payment, the vendor receives the bid price only, and the 15% commission is kept by the Society.

NB. The New Zealand Postcard Society Inc will endeavour to ensure that all aspects of the auction procedure are thorough. However, the Society will not be liable for any errors or omissions in executing vendors or purchasers instructions or for any late or non-receipt of material or bids.
